Formed 16 years ago by a staff buy out with a workload of health
projects the practice has now developed a broad range of both public
sector and private clients and an extensive portfolio of projects of all types of work.
Our flagship schemes are the larger projects such as the new Isle of Man Hospital
(£86 m) or the specialist Renal Unit in Belfast (£5m), new building types such as Children
Centres in Nottinghamshire (up to £0.75 m each), innovative solutions for schools in Nottingham
or the RSPCA in Leicester or grand designs for apartments in a Grade II listed development at Lady's Bridge.
Behind this are a substantial number of satisfactory robust, cost effective solutions for our
clients ranging from servicing the requirements of Home Dialysis patients in South Yorkshire
and Nottinghamshire, domestic extensions or single private houses, to all sorts of alterations,
extensions or new build, restaurants, noodle bars, offices, industrial premises, children homes,
hospitals and health facilities.
The architectural services are supported by capital planning staff, Access Consultant,
Planning Supervisor, Mechanical & Electrical Engineering Consultant, Planning and Contract specialists,
to ensure that design skills are supplemented by expertise in key changing and developing areas.

training in all mainstream areas as well as being encouraged to develop particular expertise.

Peter Maddison, Chairman and Director, Architect - was formerly Regional Architect
for Trent Regional Health Authority before taking the role of Managing Director in the new
company for its first 10 years. Peter's experience in managing a large capital programme,
and workforce, as well as acting as a Design Champion is invaluable so it is surprising that
we still let him play competitive football each week.

David Rayworth first joined T.A.D. Architects on his year out from university when in Yorkshire parlance he was ënowt but a ladí, so we exiled him to the Isle of Man to work on the new £82m hospital, where he quickly took charge of everything he touched. Recognising his potential we were please he chose to return, so we have swiftly promoted him to Associate and now Director, so that we can delegate to someone with broad shoulders and a strong appetite for success. |
